clean. It’s infections we prevent, if you know what I mean. Bacteria on equipment, devices and me. EVS removes them to keep the room germ free. High touch areas require
special attention. Hands of the people contact these places I’ll mention. Start with the side rails, call buttons and phones, the TV controller, over the bed tray, and on. What’s different about the
cleaning when the patient leaves? EVS scrubbin’ the room and rollin’ up they sleeves. High touch areas get cleaned
to a shine. To the bathroom, and bed will look divine. But first the nurses’ job to help strip the room. EVS get the job done right with a mop and broom. CPMC Community effort. Prevent infections. Do the job right. EVS nurses bust the bugs and we

And don’t ignore it means you need to do more. Sure, put on your gown
and gloves. It’s called the PPE. You protect the patient but you’re also protecting me. You heard of C-Diff disease makin’ the patients sick Especially in older folks make the disease tough to kick. And don’t ignore precautions. Do what I say. Infection Control will pull you aside and say, no way! You’re ready, take off the PPE and you leave the room. Spores don’t leave with you to other patients’ room. Wash your hands, soap and water, no alcohol gel. It doesn’t work well with C-Diff as you can tell. Gel can’t kill spores. To the sink you go. Scrub your hands with soap
and water, 15 seconds or more. And keep our patients safe from C-Diff is foremost. EVS, nurses, lab follow rules so we boast. C-Diff gets special attention from nurse and EVS. Bleach used in the room to get rid of spores is the best. CPMC Community effort. Prevent infections. Do the job right. EVS nurses bust the bugs and we still fight. It’s gotta be clean or we’ll take germs on a free tour. You know what I mean. Yea. The nurses do their part and
so does EVS. Learn which ones are your
job and make sure you clean them best. Yea. Let’s go. ♪ ♪
